John Farrell Represents Village of Valley Stream in Eminent Domain Case

John FarrellJohn Farrell, an associate with Sahn Ward Coschignano & Baker, PLLC, is currently representing the Village of Valley Stream in an eminent domain case in which the village board is seeking to have two vacant commercial buildings on Gibson Boulevard condemned. The property was to be converted into a condominium complex but was left abandoned when the buyer backed out.

In 2005, the village’s Board of Zoning Appeals approved construction of the condominiums, but after scaling down the project to build apartment buildings instead, construction never happened. During that time, many of the surrounding businesses closed down and the buildings fell into disrepair.

This was reported by The Valley Stream Herald.
