Wayne Edwards Represents Developers of Panera Bread Location in Bellmore

Wayne EdwardsA new Panera Bread recently opened in Bellmore on Merrick Road. The new restaurant has two stories, making it the first of its kind on Long Island. Wayne Edwards, a partner with the firm, represented MGD Investments in front of the Hempstead Board of Zoning and Appeals and handled lease negotiations for the developer.

Christian Browne Wins Summary Judgment Dismissing Claim for Prescriptive Easement Over Rockaway Hunting Club Golf Course

Christian BrowneChristian Browne recently won a summary judgment on behalf of Rockaway Hunting Club to have a claim filed by the plaintiffs, Alex Kostovetsky and Marietta Chernerko, dismissed. Mr. Kostovetsky and Ms. Chernerko claimed that a parcel of land that abutted the golf course belonged to them because of the improvements they made to the property and that the golf club tried to block their access to the property by making their own enhancements.

Chris Coschignano Is Sworn in for Fourth Term as Oyster Bay Town Councilman

Chris CoschignanoChris Coschignano took part in a swearing-in ceremony at Oyster Bay Town Hall on January 7 in which he began his fourth term as town councilman.

Mr. Coschignano was elected in 2001 to serve on the Town Board. He was re-elected in 2005, 2009, and most recently in 2013.

SWCB Attorneys Participate in New York State Bar Association’s “Bridging the Gap” Program

John ChristopherJohn Christopher, Miriam Villani and Elaine Colavito took part in the “Bridging the Gap” program, which was presented by the New York State Bar Association’s (NYSBA) Young Lawyers Section. The two-day program took place on January 31 and February 1 during the NYSBA’s weeklong annual meeting, which was held at the New York Hilton Midtown in New York City.
